Avtodor head coach Branislav VICENTIC shared his thoughts on the victory over Astana ( 79:70 ) in the home game of the 30th round of the Second Stage of the VTB United League regular season:
“First, I want to congratulate the team on their victory. She is very important to us. Everyone knows that we lost the last match in Minsk, and despite this, we did not lose faith. But today on the court we failed to keep focus and concentration all 40 minutes in order to win by an even greater margin. Still, the team played well and tough. The third quarter did not work out, and now we need to find an answer why this is not happening for the first time. Of course, Newman and Machado are the leaders of this team. One is the best shooter of the championship, and the second is one of the best point guards. I knew it would be hard without them, but I trusted the Russian players and they showed quality today. I want to say a big thank you to them."
